Think about what else has been going on for the past 25 years dealing with exclusivity - the console wars. He's the newest kid on the block trying to force developers onto one store. The biggest problem there is getting the large publishers on-board, but that's something that should end up solving itself in time as GoG slowly continues to grow and they start seeing more value in grabbing that audience. At this point I'd expect GoG to come up from behind while everyone is angry at EGS and the result would be way better - Steam gets an actually decent competitor that doesn't resort to Sweeney's hypocrisy. Steam doesn't try to leverage their position against anyone, and other storefronts do exist and are successful - the thing that started this was a tweet that GoG is doing well. While multiple storefronts competing would be better, I'm also not sure there's anything inherently wrong with the state of things right now.
